Going Green.

I'm kind of obsessed with hair. But I get really bored so I'm always changing mine. I always think I've found the perfect cut/style/color that I'm going to want for the rest of my life but then a week or so later I'm already plotting what to do next. Buuut, I've been on a mission for the perfect green hair for quite some time. This is the third attempt and it's PERFECT. Thanks to my Mom who has been doing my hair since I was a wee one.

So it started a few months ago with the first attempt...
Came out really dark and had a lot of blue tones.

Then it faded to this... Which was actually a great ashy grey/green (much better in person) but not what I wanted.

Then last week, it came out like this. SO BLUE! NOT GREEN. WHY?!? And don't mind my outfit. I was in my pjs and it was freezing so I threw a shawl on.

Aaand yesterday... TA DAH! (what a weird word, or words) The other colors were actually both really great but just not what I intended. This color! This color is what I've been dying for. To feed my green obsession.

 A few photos from today.

Peace.

Where Are We? Here. What Time Is It? Now.

Long, long... long long long ago, I used to post things here. And then I died for a while. But now I'm back. Very alive. Very inspired. I've been working on some new jewelry (made by me, with chains and thingsss, ya know like when I first started puja and was making pants and bow ties as well) and I'll be putting it up on the puja shop soon! I'm so excited!

Also, the other day I decided I really needed a new jacket (I've been dreaming about jackets for months now) and so I made one. Or... more DIYed one. Went on a hunt to a few different vintage places but couldn't find anything good enough. Ended up going to Jet Rag in West Hollywood and found a vintage Levi's denim jacket.

Hacked off the sleeves and collar.

Mixed up some green paint. I've been OBSESSED with green for a while now. All different shades. Maybe my new favorite color. Along with red. But not in a Christmas-y way. More of an India-y way.

Ended up doing three or four coats of paint.

A sleeve sample. And then sewing. Haven't sewn in YEARS. Literally.

And voila.

Ended up taking it in a bit from the back after these photos.

It was so much fun! And it felt so good to create something with my own two hands again. It had been too long.

Anyways, looong post, like the looong sleeves of the jacket (which was one of the things I was insistent on), but now I'm done. And hopefully I'll be posting more often.

Peace.
