New Eyes.
Check out my new camera that I bought last week!
So excited to have a 35mm film camera. Shooting with film is so exciting and I shoot differently with film than I do with digital. More thought goes into each shot and I consider the things I'm shooting more than I would with digital. And it just feels more special in a way. I love it!
Almost finished with my first roll so hopefully it'll be developed soon!

New Beginnings.
Started my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course today! Which means that hopefully in a few months, I'll be going overseas to teach English! It was nostalgic sitting in a classroom again and I had a lot of fun! And yes, every sentence I write needs an exclamation point!
Also, I shaved my head yesterday. It was time for a change.

Belly Full of British Columbia.
Recently went back to BC (where I was born) to visit my Dad and brother (and his girlfriend!)...
VICTORIA
The view from my Dad's apartment.
At the Ferry Terminal waiting to catch the Ferry to...
VANCOUVER
An early birthday feast with my Dad, brother and his girlfriend (that's them in the bottom left corner) at my favorite restaurant in Vancouver, or maybe the WORLD.
YUM.
Duh. And might I add that I had the Silk Route Feast which means they brought me food until I was too full to eat anymore.
So then they brought me dessert =) that was DELICIOUS.
Happy Birthday to Me.

TODAY.
I watched Zeitgeist: Addendum and it got me thinking about so many things. Not really sure what else to say right now but I highly suggest watching the film. Whether you agree or disagree with the ideas and concepts, I think it's a very eye opening film that will (hopefully) make you think.

Red Turned Light.
I'm in Victoria visiting my Dad. The night before I left, I went to Sushi Sho in Costa Mesa with David for some delicious sushi. Got a few photos of my outfit before we left...
Just hanging out here. Got a new pair of shoes today. Bought D.V. (Diana Vreeland's biography) which I read in college but wanted to own/re-read it because she is so beyond. LOVE her. My brother and his girlfriend are coming over from Vancouver tonight so I'll get to hang out with them for a few days as well. Now it's back to watching fashion documentaries, reading magazines/books/blogs and generally thinking about my wardrobe, my life, and existence in general. The usual.
xo.

Werk Your Work.
This is my worktable the last three nights before I finished the new collection.
Then we shot the lookbook on Saturday! The photos are amazing and I can't wait to share them with you guys! I feel like I've put more of my soul into this collection than any other. And I also feel like it is my best work so far but hopefully I'll always be saying that about my newest work.
Also, check out my tumblr if you haven't already. I take a picture of my outfit everyday (and have for years) and I post them all up on there. Sometimes (like now) I'm a little slow with keeping it up-to-date but I'm workin on it right now!
Peace.

Drawn.
One of my amazing readers from Japan tweeted to me yesterday with a drawing she did of me! I was and am so flattered especially because she did such an amazing job and she HAND DREW it, including the QR code. I love all the details but my favorite part is the polka dot top. So genius.
Thank you Misaki!

Top Knot.
When I was in India last time (Nov. 09 - Feb. 10) I shaved my head (except for a little tail) and have been growing it since.
And now I'm finally able to tie it up again, top knot style (with the aid of a few bobby pins to help the shorter back and side, yes only one side)!
And the growing continues...

Little Indian.
This past weekend I went to Little India (it's about as close as I can get to India right now) with my Mom, cousin, and David so we could eateateat. We ate lots of delicious food and walked around and looked at some beautiful (and some tacky, not necessarily bad) Indian clothes. As much as I love Little India, it doesn't compare to "Big" India, but it is always nice to eat Indian foods such as chaat and samosas, that my family doesn't normally make at home.
Here are a couple photos of my outfit...
