Made By puja.
Isn't everyone always on the search for the perfect bag? I am. And I have been forever. I even stopped carrying one for a long time because I was so unable to find the perfect one. (I got really good at always wearing pockets and fully utilizing them.) I had been thinking about making one for a while but never got around to it. One of the first things I ever remember sewing was a bag. I thought I better make another attempt at a, hopefully, better one so I went for it! Check it out...
Made patterns up as I was going and just drew them directly onto the fabric. Here's a layout to see how it will look...
The body is basically done.
Added a flap and straps.
And I'm happy with the finished product =) The strap was a leather strap I had laying around so I attached one side with a little gold lock and then other has a clasp.
Braided handle.

Where Are We? Here. What Time Is It? Now.
Long, long... long long long ago, I used to post things here. And then I died for a while. But now I'm back. Very alive. Very inspired. I've been working on some new jewelry (made by me, with chains and thingsss, ya know like when I first started puja and was making pants and bow ties as well) and I'll be putting it up on the puja shop soon! I'm so excited!
Also, the other day I decided I really needed a new jacket (I've been dreaming about jackets for months now) and so I made one. Or... more DIYed one. Went on a hunt to a few different vintage places but couldn't find anything good enough. Ended up going to Jet Rag in West Hollywood and found a vintage Levi's denim jacket.
Hacked off the sleeves and collar.
Mixed up some green paint. I've been OBSESSED with green for a while now. All different shades. Maybe my new favorite color. Along with red. But not in a Christmas-y way. More of an India-y way.
Ended up doing three or four coats of paint.
A sleeve sample. And then sewing. Haven't sewn in YEARS. Literally.
And voila.
Ended up taking it in a bit from the back after these photos.
It was so much fun! And it felt so good to create something with my own two hands again. It had been too long.
Anyways, looong post, like the looong sleeves of the jacket (which was one of the things I was insistent on), but now I'm done. And hopefully I'll be posting more often.
Peace.
